A humorous compendium of history, real estate, and climate information that I'm sure many are wondering about:

    What about:

    - Becoming Scottish
    - Becoming Irish via NI
    - Becoming Spanish via Gibraltar

Cuz it's inconvenient having to learn a new language. Yeah, I know the prevailing rumor that the Scots speak English, but I have my doubts.

Canada is accepting if you have a useful skill and some jingle in your jeans to support you while you job-hunt. Or beaucoup ongoing income, if you're a retiree. Otherwise? Fuhgeddaboudit.

I'm a good cook and a diligent and cheerful pot scrubber, how could I not find a job?

Can I still collect Social Security and my pension from north of Lake Ontario? If so, I'm ready to go!

All those American liberals who threatened to move to Canada if George W. Bush was reelected?

    Still here.

Oh, they tried, I'm sure. Though they didn't account for the fact that our elections are held in the winter. They probably got as far as Minnesota before saying "nope, **** that", and turned around.

Oddly, they live in the same neighborhoods of those who were leaving if Obama was reelected.

Costa Rica's good, regardless of who's the president. For bigger billfolds, Cafayate, Argentina, looks very good.

So are all the cousin-****ers who said they'd leave if Obama were elected.

    What's your point?

Side note: Can we stop attaching "exit" to every damn thing now? It's getting as annoying as -gate.

If Canada's population jumps to 100 mil in a single year, I won't be too happy about that.

If they were to go live in the territories or in the northern part of provinces, I have no objection :p

But they're probably all gonna clutch around Toronto, which is going to overpopulate that city, considering it's the most known city. If all of the immigrants went and scattered around all cities, I actually wouldn't mind that. Though one thing's for sure is that Montreal is probably not gonna get a lot of them as it's a French-speaking region, so they would have to learn it.

The American political refugees from the Left Coast will head for Victoria and Vancouver, which out here are synonymous with "Canada."

My suggestion for Canada is that as part of the citizenship process applicants have to agree to immediate deportation if they whine about the weather. One thing that I have noticed is that even in places where the weather is "perfect", some transplants complain that the weather is not the same as back home, even if the climate back home was lousy.

The article implies Trump had something to do with convincing the UK to leave the EU. How can the British be so influenced by anyone who is an outsider to their culture and nation, and is likely unable to run for office there and otherwise would not likely be so welcomed if he had?

Also, "Canadexit" is appropriating a term and using a different definition. Most readers were expecting Canada trying to escape the North American Union, a tinfoil hat theory that hasn't happened so it's a non-sequitur to use "___exit" so grossly out of context.

Besides, most people would say "Emigration" instead of a term created by the liberal media to begin with.
