Canon Printer on OSX "Can't access maintenance menus or paper type" with OS X

I'll try to keep this short...

Printer: Canon ip5000
Computer: Mac
OS: OS X
Problem: Unable to access maintenance menu which allows Nozzle Cleaning,Head Alignment.
Also unable to choose which Paper I'm using.
It works great with Windows but not OS X, I've downloaded the drivers "BJ" and "IJ" from Canon but still get the same thing.

Please Help.
