Hi all,

I wish I was exaggerating when I say I've exchanged my new Series 4 watch three times since I originally purchased it on the 1st.

I upgraded from a Series 3 38mm in aluminum gold. The color was nice, but I wasn't thrilled that the color was more of a rose/coppery gold than a true gold.

When I picked up my first Series 4, I went with the 44mm aluminum space grey because I wanted a change. It looked too big and masculine on me, so I exchanged it for the 40mm aluminum gold without realizing that the gold still looked sort of rose/coppery. I can't afford a stainless steel model to get that true gold color that I think I was hoping for.

So I went back a third time and exchanged it for a 40mm aluminum space grey. I think I'm much happier with the 38mm size so that isn't the issue anymore. 99% of the time I wear it with a white sports band, but I worry that it still looks masculine or isn't as "feminine" as I'd like it to be.

Did anyone else struggle this badly with settling on a color they're happy with? Ladies, if anyone has photos of their Series 4 to share for inspiration it would be greatly appreciated!

If you can't afford the stainless steel, then space gray, gold or silver aluminum are your only choices. Did you try the silver aluminum? That'll flow nice with your white sport band.

My hesitation with the silver is I rarely wear silver jewelry. Most of what I have is gold, and I worry that it wouldn't look great with the silver watch.

I'm another who wears primarily gold, and back at the time the Apple Watch was first introduced I decided that the best solution for me was a Space Black stainless steel watch and matching link bracelet. Still love it! No problems with clashing with silver or gold, and so when the time came last year I bought the Space Black stainless steel watch Series 3 and immediately put my beloved Space Black link bracelet on it. I'm glad I have that band, as I think k it is no longer offered by Apple. I love this so much that I never bother with buying or switching out to other bands.

I say space grey, my wife had the rose aluminum s3, this time around she wanted space grey s4 and she loves it. Surprisingly the watch looks real good with brown leather with silver clasp. I think the space grey matches real well with all types of bands. She got black Milanese band, and a double tour style brown band. They look amazing with space grey. I can post some pics if you want.

I think the silver Nike in 40mm with sportsband looks great. I have the space grey 40mm Nike and also bought a look a like white Nike sport band, but when looking at a picture I took in a shop while comparing sizes (44mm space grey sport vs 40mm Silver Nike), I can regret not getting the silver version when going for 40mm. In 44mm I still think Space grey is better looking.

I got my AW4 in silver aluminum 40 mm. I never used the white sports band it came with and got the Seashell sports loop. I liked the look but had a hard time keeping it clean.

So I got the black Sports Loop, wasn’t quite sure how it would look but I am starting to enjoy it.

I like Space Grey best as it blends in better with the black screen and so many bands go great with it.

I love the gold, and the new SS gold is particularly amazing. Since i got into band collecting, though, i switched to silver. There’s just so much more versatility in trrms of what bands look good.
