Can't get rid of email address in the Contacts app

Hey everyone,

Since updating to Tahoe today, I have the following, weird bug in the Contacts app:

1. I launch the app and my contact is displayed by default. It has my 2 private email addresses. Everything is fine.
2. I switch to a different contact and then back to my contact.
3. Then, suddenly, a 3rd email address is displayed. It's my work email address that I do NOT want in my contact.

The thing is: When I edit my contact, this email address is NOT entered anywhere. So probably, it's a suggestion by Siri but I can't seem to delete it. If I remember correctly, it also showed up some time in the past but I was able to remove it by clicking the "i" next to it (which is not there now).

It's a really weird bug (it only shows up on the second try and I can't seem to delete it). Anyone can help me out here? Thanks!

Yes, same issue here! When I view my card I get a bunch of email addresses that I don't want to share. When I click the "Edit" button to remove them, they are no longer listed (and thus cannot be deleted / removed from my card). When I click "Done" (after the unsuccessful edit), the email addresses are all there again. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did either of you find the answer? I'm having the same problem. I updated an email and now it's showing the new and the old one. Go in to edit and it isn't there.

Edit: For anyone else with the problem, I seemed to have solved it. I turned off Show Siri Suggestions and it went.

If you've enabled the ability to do so, try going into your iCloud online via a browser and edit the address there. It might resolve that.
Or not.

Contacts has always been a challenge for me. About a year ago, it just started generating duplicates of names and Groups I had in my Contacts - I mean dozens of them, which would then populate my Contacts on all my devices.
Short if speaking to Tim Cook's personal assistant, the issue went so very far up the food chain at Apple - no amount of time-consuming manual deletion (on devices or in iCloud) or work at their end would stop it from repopulating. They were totally flummoxed.
Eventually tried opening up a new Apple Account just for Contacts, and my (freshly cleaned up) Contacts from my phone populated that, with no issues since. Not a fix. A workaround.

Newest issues as noted in this thread have popped up here since Tahoe, but I have found some of that mitigated by giving up on Contacts on my Mac and using Cardhop instead.
