Back before Sony redesigned playstation.com I could never sign in there in Safari, but I could sign into my Sony Account. Since they did the redesign in early 2020 I haven't had problems logging in at my.account.sony.com in Safari on my iPad, iPhone or Mac (iOS 15.4 and MacOS 12.3).

Today I'm not able to log in as when I try I get a "A connection to the server could not be established" error. Looking at the developer console on my Mac I'm seeing a 403 response from https://ca.account.sony.com/api/v1/ssocookie, which I'm guessing is trying to get or store a SSO cookie for any service that uses Sony accounts.

Chrome, Edge and Firefox work fine, even on iOS so it's not a webkit issues, but a Safari issue.

Is anyone else have a problem with Safari?

edit: guess they fixed the issue as it’s working now.

I'm having the same problem today on my M1pro MacBook Pro. Yours is the only recent post about this issue, there seems to be no other Mac users experiencing this.
I get the error code:

A connection to the server could not be established.

I just tried after seeing these posts. Used Safari on my iPad Pro and I got the same response as you. I did not have an issue before, but it‘s been a while since I tried to log in. I’m guessing it’s a temporary Sony issue that may or may not be related to Safari.

Using my laptop on Big Sur I could log in with no issues using Safari. So it just may be iOS Safari that’s the problem.

Thanks for having a check with your set up.

I haven’t tried on an iPad, just my Mac on up to date macOS.

I did try Mac version of Chrome and had no problems signing in. So this definitely an issue with Safari on Monterey, and possibly something on Sony’s end.

Someone responded to me on another forum that it didn’t work on his mac either. But I believe he’s on Monterey as welL. It seems it’s just the new browser versions that have the issue. Glad my laptop isn’t supported for Monterey.

And someone else just posted that they could log in on their ipad. So I went back and actually was able to log in to all their sites with no error message. Hmm..?‍♂️
