Hi guys;

I'm at the point of pulling my hair out here.

I'm trying to start my page numbers on a different page.
I've found many articles that tell me to show the paragraph markers and delete one. Doesn't work.

I'm trying to start my page numbers on page three of a word doc as page number 1.

Any help would be great.

First, insert a "Section Break" between page 2 & page 3.
Make sure your cursor is on page 3. Insert "Page Number..." -> "Format..." -> Start at : 1

Good luck!

First off, thank you. Worked like a charm.

(I apologize for the delay in replying, for some reason I didn't get an email telling me there was a reply to my post)

When I do exactly as you say it works as I said.
I notice the page numbers appear on pages 1 and 2 and then start again on page three as 1,2,3, etc…

Is there a way to not have the page numbers on the first pages and to just have them start on page three as 1,2,3,etc…?

(In other words no numbers at all until the Section Break)

Thanks again,
Durv3us

You will have to disable "Same as Previous" in the Footer-Section 2-

To do it, click the purple "Header and Footer" on the up-left of the Ribbon and deselect the "Link to Previous" indicated by the red arrow.

Then you can remove the "Page Numbers" from Section 1.

Good luck!
