I'm in SL using iMovie (not iMove HD). When I make a project I can't seem to save it. Apple S doesn't work and there is no save option under any menu in it. Also, if I quit without saving there is no save prompt...

Yeah, there's no save option. It's scary. I think if you're worried about it keeping your work, you should shut down the program and reopen it every one in a while just to make sure. Have read threads about people losing hours of work due to the no saving feature, but I've never had issues with it.

Ok, thanks. But where does it save your project to? Because you don't know where the file is and what its called:confused: Can someone tell me where iMovie keeps them and that?

They are stored in your user directory/Movies/iMovie Projects
The files are named what the projects are named.

Any clips you import are in your user directory/Movies/iMovie Events

On my old White iMac with Tiger, I had iMovie HD. iMovie HD asked me to name my project when I opened iMovie (or work on an existing project). Though iMovie on my SL MBP doesn't give me that option when I open up iMovie. I don't get to name my project or anything, it just shows this:

I usually go up to File and choose New Project...I believe that's where it is (File).

EDIT: Or maybe it asked me once I dragged clips into that area to create a new project.

This IS my version of iMovie...just so you don't think I am talking about the older '6'/HD version.

Click the button in the top left, "Project Library". You can rename your project there. Otherwise, it just uses the default name.
