Hey guys,

My dad is considering buying a MBA to have in addition to a work laptop in order to store all private family photos/albums/etc. It doesn't really make sense to buy that laptop though just for that purpose. He already has a 128 GB iPad Air, and I think he should try and use that as a full-time photo device. In addition to buying the adapter for connecting the camera to the iPad to download photos, I wanted to know how feasible it is to use the iPad to store/organize/etc all photos. Is the iPhoto app enough? I heard you cannot easily create albums (from the iPad as a standalone device - remember there won't be any connection to a computer here).

Also, is it possible to backup like let's say 40 GB of photos on an iPad Air to a cloud somewhere? Thanks in advance!
