Hi people, hope you are well.

I have been downloading training videos recently for my work, they also have excel workshhets available to download to work through (as examples) but when i try to open them after downloading i get the following message.

Application Launch Failure
The application "Excel" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "3<Microsoft Excel><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_CarbonSound><>"

Any ideas??

I also get that "Carbonsound" type error when i open videos sometimes but cant get it to do it now....typical

But anyway, any comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks, and enjoy your weekend.

Regards

Dominic

UPDATE just tried to install Macromedia Flash and got basically the same message:

The application "Install Flash Player 9 OSX" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "1<BaseInstaller><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_CarbonSound><>"
