Carrier update blinking your device, or bricked?

So I installed the carrier update this morning, or tried to. It reset my device, started showing the white apple with progress bar, then kinda just stopped. After a few minutes it started showing my apps and stuff but with the black and white apple/progress screen flipping in and out of view every other frame.

Rebooting the device does not help.

Suspect I am going to have to do a full restore from itunes, until then my device is useless tho. Any suggestions before I go down that route?

Well, it seems to have resolved itself... BUT all of my camera images are wiped out =( Gonna have to see if there is a way to restore them from my icloud stream =(
