    Here's another:

    http://www.king5.com/story/news/crime/2014/11/20/lakewood-home-invasion-federal-way-death/70009186/

Saw the victim last night on the news, a small Milquetoast cello player, not at all threatening. But he packed heat and wasn't afraid to use it. Chalk up one for the little guy.

It's an endorsement to the right to carry a firearm to defend one's self and family. The guy could've jumped out of that back room lunging with a knife, the brother-in-law would've been equally within his rights to fire those same 5 shots from is gun.

Why do you assume that anyone in favor of the right to carry a firearm, is an NRA member?

I'm a life-member of the NRA, although I dislike what that organization has become of late, which is is merely a lobbyist for both the Connecticut arms industry and the Republican Party.

I am not a member of the NRA with no immediate plans to become such. I don't conceal carry either. What was your point again?

My point is that only someone with a low IQ would believe guns actually reduce gun related violence. Now you've got a guy that is dead and you're saying this is a victory for gun owners, that really is stupid.

    1. Did I somehow allude to a case like this reducing gun crime? I admitted it's anecdotal.
    2. You have one dead criminal instead of possibly one, two or three dead innocents. It seems insensitive to call this a victory so I won't (and didn't) since I doubt all of those involved would call it that.

Well that's good, obviously that post wasn't directed at you or anyone else for that matter.

You didn't agree with my post so I must have a low IQ and therefore be a member of the NRA. Am I following your logic?

No I'm just making humorous generalisations because some people think this puts forward a case for why people should carry guns when we'd better off with no guns at all.

Since the guns are out there already, and you're not going to change that (unless you emigrate to this country, become a citizen, run for office, and lead a charge to amend the constitution), in this specific instance, it is obvious that the person in question was indeed better off having been carrying a gun.

Calling people stupid is humorous to you?
Guns are banned in your country & criminals still have them there

Guns are not banned in Australia, provided you have a valid reason you can have a semi-automatic riffle, they're just heavily restricted.

I didn't call "people" stupid either, I called a select group of people who believe that guns reduce gun violence overall stupid.

Women are getting their CCWs. To protect themselves against violence. Do you think they are stupid?
Thanks for the correction on the ban

Considering I'm trained in self defense and have trained with many women, yes. I way 175lb I don't need a gun to feel safe, neither do women. I would have no trouble restraining someone who weighed 250lb.
