Yet it was a commie that broke down a wall, and brought the world Glastnost and Perestroika. And even GHWB acknowledged that.

Perhaps a history refresher is needed.

And you still haven't answered the question. Why does in your opinion Castro need a bullet?

To be fair, it was more a bureaucratic fub-up that brought down the wall. That, and the fact people were kinda tired of living under communism at the time.

All dictators/statists need several, not just one.

You still only provide fanatical rhetoric, and no substance. Please justify why you believe Castro deserves a bullet.

@bradl: m8, you won't get a plausible answer. Most probably the poster has no idea about the whole historical background, the person in question and has never seen/met in his life a "commie".

Oh, I agree. the only one they have probably seen has been in a movie, just like Gary Oldman or Maz Jobrani, who are neither, but have played them (in Jobrani's case, a terrorist; he and his family immigrated from Iran).

If anything, this is only showing how truly fanatical he is making himself out to be, yet blaming others for their fanaticism.

The wall was brought down by series of events. The final nail in the coffin was the decision of a small country's foreign minister when he opened the border for the East-Germans towards Austria.

How about compensation for all the American-owned private property he seized after the Cuban Revolution?

Then should we call this an even push for a 50 year old trade embargo and a failed invasion?

I guess Fidel Castro is old enough that he thinks "one meeeeellion dollars" is still a lot of money.

Not that the Cuban Government is not without its faults. But lets be honest and say that the United States hasn't actually treated Cuba with the utmost honesty and fairness over the past hundred and twenty odd year.

Exactly. Hence why I think this would be an even push. So HRC and Kerry should head down to Key West, build a real life Angry Birds slingshot, load up a couple hundred Staples red reset buttons, and fire them across the Gulf.

Yes, like those. I can come up with plenty of terrible examples in US history, probably even much worse than those you linked. And around the whole world too, but you specifically asked what Castro did that would make someone think he deserved a bullet, implying he did nothing wrong, and so I answered.

You implied that Castro deserves a bullet because of the human rights in the country. I linked two human rights abuses in one of the countries in question (the thread is about a certain aspect of Cuba-US relations). Who should get a bullet for those?
@ActionableMango: have you ever been to Cuba? Have you talked with people there?

I don't think it would be unreasonable for Obama to give Castro an iPod, or some regionally-coded DVDs.

It would be messed up if the DVDs were of the final season of Sabado Gigante. :p
