Does anyone use this feature?
Yes, I'm sure someone does.
Well yes I know that SOMEONE does. But I was hoping people would reply with why
I have it turned on, but not really used.
Reason: When sending a text message, you're limited to 160 characters I think. But when sending via iMessage there isn't that limitation.
I used it just to see what my average text length was.
I'm not sure why it matters when using smartphones as they let you go over the limit and write as much as you can.
I use it because it keeps a count of how many characters I've typed in a text message.
Well it still counts as two messages, then. If you're on a limited texting plan it's stupid to use up a whole text for 3 letters. I'll go back and edit something shorter if I see that occur.
Yes. I use it.
I like to know how long my messages are (not that it matters from a cost point of view).
Ah, I see. I guess that would make sense then. I've been on an unlimited texting plan since I got my first phone and have only come across 1 person who hasn't had unlimited texting over the year so I guess I might've overlooked the potential issue
