My mac book got dropped on the charger port side while the plug was still in. Now the mac book will not charge unless it's in a certain position. The charger port is damaged are there any fixes to get this working normally again?

If not, is there a place out there in cyberspace to get a new charger port or other mac book parts besides ebay?
Any websites out there that explain how to take a mac book a part?

Thanks in advance,
A former PC user

Well, the first thing to find out would be if it is the port or the charger. Do you have a friend with a MacBook? If not, you could try going to a store that sells Macs and using the charger from one of their display models.

I suspect that the charger would be more likely to be damaged than the MacBook's power port.
