    Hi All

Take a look.. seller list the price as 449.99 with free shipping but the condition is the delivery will be 2~3 months...

Do you think this is a scam? Cause by the time you realize you have been scam it is already way pass eBay & Paypal 45 days protection period..

Plus it say only 1 available and yet already 4 solds

Delivery actually says 2 to 3 weeks. Its stated there that its in Toronto, and its an order through Apple's Dealer Website (?) for March 25th (When it launches in Canada). Weird.

Isn't it strange that the ebay account is Canadian yet the shipping is free via Hong Kong post? Also, a tracking number and insurance is not included.

Official Apple dealers generally pay a lot less than that for one. I think they only pay like ~$400 rather than $450, so they probably make about $20-40 off each sale.

    Could be a scam though.

ok true.. so for a 20~40 profit and then after paying eBay and Paypal high fees plus shipping.... he is making a huge lost instead of profile...

I will say this is 100% a scam....

Could very well be a scam - the ebay seller has only 9 feedbacks - and they are all from other sellers for buying stuff. In other words, he has never sold anything before.

2nd - listing says 'preorder' and items will be ordered on march 25 - so expected delivery would be around first week of april. From now till march 25 - the seller has more than enough time to withdraw all the funds from paypal to his bank account - and close the bank account.

Ebay's buyer protection is pretty good so the buyers will get their money back, I won't be surprised if ebay will ask sellers in the future to put up some kind of deposit to protect against this type of fraud.

A general rule of thumb for eBay.. If the price seems too good to be true, and the seller has 9 feedback, its probably a scam lol

9 feedbacks, none as a seller, for visible purchases totaling under $50, and people are spending more than 1 second debating about it? Nah it couldn't be a scam.
