Chevron seen settling case on Iraq oil

    as the largest fine ever, it still doesn't seem very steep, given chevron's size and the high crimes to which they now do not have to cop.

    Lol... I'm sure we'll be treated to a show of all the GOP faithful who were SOOOO upset over high government officials dealing secretly with adversaries of the US.

    This isn't even a conspiracy anymore. It's all out there in the open, they don't even care because even though they're caught, nothing will come of it. And Condi is right out there in the thick of it. Proving at best she's incompetent, at worst complicit. Still guessing there will be some defenders while still complaining about oil for food (even though most of them don't seem to know what exactly the scandal entails) completely ignoring the Condi angle, but there have been less and less lately.

    Wonder why that is.
