There are many things I like about China and many that I also don’t like. What I don’t like is them cracking down on Christians and Muslims. Whether it be Christians,Jews or Muslims everyone should be free to practice their own reigious beliefs. Not fond of China cracking down on religion unless they in particular were known to be religious extremists terrorists but this should also not mean that China can use that card like when others pull certain cards to suit their own agenda when criticized for certain actions. Detaining Christians right before Christmas is not something that will make many happy.

China is a communist dictatorship. It’s very existence is contrary to everything the west stands for. Every western government should be doing all they can to destroy these communists. They’re still the same evil that infected the USSR. Once overthrown the Taiwan government should be restored to power.

Subverting the government seems like a very low bar and something the Soviets would say. It’s pretty deplorable to detain people simply based on their religion.

As the old saying goes "Arbeit macht frei" (Work sets you free)- the slogan on the gates of Auschwitz. Sounds practically like a concentration camp, minus quite the level of atrocities committed. Perhaps more like an internment camp. This is absolutely disgusting in the year 2018. It's my understanding however that many Chinese don't know a lot about the Holocaust and historically lot of it has been distorted under China's communist rule much like the Soviet Union did- which is surprising since the the Chinese actually helped save Jews from the Nazis. That said, China faced a genocide of their own at the hands of Japan, so they should know something about the inhumanity of what they are doing interning millions of people solely based on their religion.

You would think so but under communist rule they have to go with the flow. China like all other countries with authoritarian dictatorship rulers don’t want to vanish one day so they keep their opinions to themselves. I know of a couple of people in China that vanished amongst others in the Middle East. Those that know of others whom have vanished are less likely to speak out. Quite sad actually. Dubai Ruler’s daughter has vanished and yet no one in the UAE was willing to speak out for her out of fear of vanishing themselves. This is a daughter as well and not a terrorist of some sort so you can see how this goes in middle eastern countries. Saudi has also had many stories of Princesses vanishing as well but no one dares to speak out. When others vanish people know it is wrong but when they see others remaining silent then they too remain silent because they know that if they speak out that they too will go missing. In Syria it is the same also. Not good..

Probably, but I’m guessing not a million at a time and probably more often for reasons or at least suspicions a little more concrete than the fact someone subscribed to a certain religion. I’m also dont believe we’ve made such prionsers participate in forced labor. Obama’s indefinite detention law is perhaps one of the worst things done in modern American history. In comparison to China, Gitmo in its history has allegedly only had 800 priosners in its lifetime with around 40 remaining today.

The US detention of Muslims has everything to do with stopping terrorism than “re-educationing” religious beliefs out of people.

That is the known facility. It is commonly understood there are other sites both outside of the U.S. AND inside where they hold people of interest.
