As the title suggests I'm looking for a monitor that will serve a dual purpose. I'm moving to Manchester in September from the US and was wondering if the LG M227WD is a wise choice. From the reviews on Amazon it seems to be better (or more liked) than the Samsung, but I would like more opinions from anyone who has owned one or both.

I'm also wondering if the reception would be adequate with a small indoor aerial rather than a roof mounted aerial.

If you don't think that the LG is a good monitor, what would you suggest?

Thanks in advance! I can't wait to watch Top Gear as it airs originally...and then is replayed forever on DAVE! :D

can I ask what did you choose in the end?

I'm looking at the LG M227WD but just want to make sure it will work ok with my new mac mini!

    Thanks
