That's hysterical. And sad. People really think a guy doing an obvious Bit to make a point is actually cursing them. Jesus.
He's no satanist, he only plays one on tv.
This ranks up there with the Flying Spaghetti Monster. All about exposing hypocrisy
Tent, check, camel, check.
So did he speak the invocation prayer in reverse?
Wonder how much overlap there is between the freaked out contingent and assorted people abusing Pslam 109:8 to pray that Obama's days are few.
I suppose this story is a bit like going to a Harry Potter premiere dressed as Gandalf.
I want to see someone start a prayer to the drowned god.
That was just plain silly, but IMO not any more silly than any other prayer to some god that may or may not really exist.
From what I've observed, Christians have been the most vocal in the last few years. Whether that's due to the liberal media's ironic nature of recent or other means, but here's the fact: Christians, in wanting religious freedom* didn't seem to understand that this country has more than one religion and the first amendment covers a lot more than what they expected. Until an "official religion" is set up, and that won't fly with anyone who truly upholds Constitutional values (in particular, the first amendment), the Christians have to tolerate other religions. Heck, even the Bible discusses tolerance --> http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/bible-verses-about-tolerance-21-scripture-quotes/ (makes for a good, moderately long read.)
*over "separation between church and state" that people like a founding father fathomed a lot of possible contention and thus spoke of such "separation" centuries ago, even tolerating differences in Amendment One... only to be ignored nowadays.
