    ----------

He writes in regards to anti-vaxxers and GM Food conspirary theorists in comparison to ACG denial:

    ----------

    In response to:

"How important are political ideologies in understanding the rejection of climate science? It appears that those who are traditionally opposed to government interference in the economy such as classical liberals, free market conservatives and libertarians are most vocal in their opposition to climate science."

I wonder if most human minds can only absorb change at a finite rate. The Luddites may have been the first but climate change deniers won't be the last.

NSFW video showing corporate mining execs coming to terms with cognitive dissonance

There is a sadly humorous spoof here of Australian coal mining execs resolving their cognitive dissonance on this issue. It makes me think there must have been some terrific bitter humor on the decks of the Titanic that night.
