Trump probably promised to pay him if he gets enough deflections to Hillary in every day so he has to get his quota in.

I'll buy it. Only on the account there's some dry wit in it and he speaks of how his height came to be useful growing up. I'm a fairly tall man, and he's still taller than me!

Comey doesn't have to worry about Trump reading it unless it's going to be a pop up book. Or made into a TV Movie.

Or comes with nice, big pictures.

Having said that, I expect that he may have heard of it, and we may run the risk of more tweets of the "vowel movement" kind, the kind that will howl about "Fake news! SAD!" without engaging with the contents of the book (which - knowing Mr Comey, I would expect to be scrupulously fair).

Cheeky. Fairly! I'm 6'4 myself. I've met taller people before, but 6'8 is very tall. I don't think I've met anyone taller than 6'6!

I never knew how tall he was until that video where he walks across the room to shake POTUS's hand. I must have missed the photos where he stood next to Obama, as well.

Juicy details, yes, but I like thoughtful prose, political analysis and something that is both readable and interesting as well.

well certainly those kind of books can be quite interesting........but I'm not sure there's that kind of material involved when it comes to anything about Trump, he's a celebrity you know, like Justin Bieber, except he can't sing.

I guess I'll have to wait until the reviews start to come in

One of the things that has surprised me is how literate - in a clear and interesting way - much American writing was from between - say - the 1820s and the 1960s; beautiful, clear, literate prose, very readable and very interesting.

The best of the US textbooks far surpassed - for clarity of thought and expression - much of what was available in the UK, and the best of American journalists (William Shirer comes to mind but he is no means the only example I could advance) wrote stunning prose and wonderfully researched history books.

But, that has changed; despite the tradition of a literate society and a literate political class, much of what comes from the States these days is very poor.

This is why I shall reserve judgment on Mr Comey's work; if it is well written, I shall buy it; if it is poorly written (but interesting) I shall ask my brother to borrow it from the library (he works as a solicitor with a local authority in the capital and the library is next door to his office) and read it.

Lizkat, have you been penning haikus under the influence again? Didn't I tell you stop that?

I'd only buy the book if Comey reveals some truly shocking WH secrets, like a scandalous tryst with KellyAnne Conway, maybe licking her toes on that leather couch in the Oval Office.

Otherwise, what's the point of the book if it only tells us things we already knew?
