Just wondering, can the Touch be charged when plugged into an AC adapter that I bought for my 4G iPod?

Yes. As far as I can tell, every iPod I've come across (except for the Shuffle, of course) uses the same connector. It should work just fine :)
 
Yes. The only problem has been with the iPhone 3G which disconnects the Firewire power connections from the battery in the phone, so it won't charge. It is likely that when the next touch (and other iPods) are released they will removed that feature as well.

Probably. They've already done away with FireWire syncing.
