As pointed out in the comments of the video when the "wrong pass code" of 000000 "works" he actually inputs 000080, which I'd bet was the actual pass code.

Why is half the video filled with "this usually works" "I'll try this some more times" "trust me this works" etc.

And there are comments insisting that it works regardless of the number entered.

Tell me which you believe, given that one is evidential (it can clearly be seen) and one isn't(baseless assertions by YouTube commenters) and I can decide whether I can take anything you say seriously or not.

I don't believe anything, as I haven't seen any concrete proof.

Having not seen any proof otherwise, and as of now no credible proof of any bypass of activation lock being presented, a rational observer might draw a conclusion.

This YouTuber creates a lot of Apple product related videos. I watch his videos a lot. He is about as legit as they come. I trust that he thinks there is a real problem. I suspect there is.

Entering an 8 doesn't necessarily invalidate his claim that any incorrect passcode will allow you to bypass the lock. As far as I know this youtuber doesn't generally post fake videos so I don't feel confident enough to make an assumption. This may or may not be real.

I call BS.. I’ve seen some questionable stuff on his channel before. His best videos are his reviews, not his bypass videos. I take what I see on Youtube with a grain of salt...

If he was actually correct then he did a TERRIBLE job of demonstrating it. His attempts at demonstrating "any" wrong pass code completely failed until he entered 000080. Until shown otherwise the only logical conclusion is that 000080 was actually the passcode. Given the evidence presented I'm not sure why anyone would even give the benefit of the doubt to this. The fact that he makes Apple related videos doesn't really lend any credence - lots of people do because they get clicks.

There have been lock bugs and so on in iOS very occasionally but I'm going to need way better evidence to take this seriously.

In the first video he enters 80808080 to show it doesn't work then 08080808 and it does. The passcode was clearly the latter. You have to be a total sucker not to notice this.

The second video I'm not even sure what a pre-entered passcode was supposed to demonstrate.

    Total garbage presented so far.

it's not a scam, it's a bug and it works: needs two-factor ON and Clean Icloud , from what i see here, it works 11.0.3 -> 11.2b1 , also on other website i've seen it on 11.0.1 , so i guess it's in any version of 11.x

i think the first one which made it public is this clip since October 19

what i don't understand if after activation it turns FMI off or only bypasses activation.

because on official method (entering the good password) it turns FMI off , as it's explained on Apple website: "If you have iOS 11 or later, your device uses Touch ID, and your account is protected with two-factor authentication, you can turn off Activation Lock with your device Passcode. Tap Unlock with Passcode, then tap Use Device Passcode."

Laughable, everyone seen your passcode to include the 8, not all zeros. Scandalous way to get people to the site, but I suppose if it tricks people into thinking something else, the magicians trick is at least amusing to watch. Would you like me to post the time in which this occurred? You might as well have told everyone they were stupid. Easy to reproduce this one. Server side patch indeed.

Your peers are calling BS and so am I, to ignorantly think you can fool the rest of the population with this grotesque waste of time, not to mention the additional BS excuse trying to add more info most people have no clue about, is offensive to those that know and especially offensive to the general public that doesn’t know. Try actually working instead.
