I have just started college this year and I find myself taking my Macbook to class every day to take notes and to do assignments/labs on. It is always on me in my backpack but it still scares me having a $1,500 laptop around people I really don't even know.

When I was at work I saw we had a program called Computrace LoJack, I was wondering:
- How much would you recommend this?
- If the hard drive is formatted or is changed, is it still traceable?
- Standard or premium version?
- Anyone use this?

Thanks guys!

Take a look at Undercover. It is often a highly recommended application by Mac users. In regards to formatting or swapping the drive, you can setup a firmware password so the drive cannot be reformatted unless the user has the password. If the drive is swapped, you're out of luck.
