Hi

I have just swapped by internal HDD for an SSD and ordered an external USB enclosure for my old HDD.
My question is, when I plug my old drive in via USB, will my files etc still be accessible via finder given that this is still a "boot" drive?
Also, is there a way to easily boot off this drive via USB if required?

Many thanks

Yes, you can access your files on the now external HDD, regardless of it having been the boot drive.
And yes, you can boot from it via System Preferences > Startup Disk or holding down the OPTION key after your pressed the power button to start the Mac.
