That requires that the PC has a DisplayPort output.

How well do these work though? Will the picture be as good as connecting directly to a mini displayport mac?

Yes. The signal is the same digital signal as the Mac's. Mini DisplayPort is just a different form factor of DisplayPort after all.

I pre-ordered one and recieved it about a week ago. I have a 15"MBP that I use the LED display with and also have a Dell XPS Studio 16 with a display port that I wanted to use on the LED screen.

I am currently using the set up right now but have had issues and not much time to look into them completely. At times when I turn on the power to the XPS when connected to the display the display becomes jumpy. So I go into the control panel in vista and open up the ATI catalyst control center and make changes to the refresh rate and then the screen becomes stable and is fine for as long as I use it.

I was hoping to hear if others have had this issue and what to do to fix it. But it is great to be able to use the display on both my laptops.
