Dear all,

I am willing to purchase a current rMPB late 2013 with i7, 16 GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. Because of my work as a photographer I just want to use my NEC Spectraview Monitor for color sensitive work. This display has DVI input, DVI-I as well as DVI-D. With my current Windows workstation I am using a Amazon Basics Displayport to DVI cable which works great. However, I am not sure whether a Mini DP to DVI cable will work, too, because of the fact that Apple is selling a Mini DP to DVI adaptor. Do I have to purchase this adaptor or am I ready to go with a Mini DP to DVI cable from Amazon Basics?

Your help is much appreciated!

Joerg

Thanks a lot for your quick reply! But do I really need this adaptor or would an Amazon Basics Mini DP to DVI also gets the job done?

Sorry, misunderstood the topic.
Yes, the basic Amazon thingie should work too, unless they forgot some wires.
Maybe also have a look at MonoPrice and their adapters, they might even cost less and are sure to work.
