Hey guys so this monitor does not have a usb type A port , if I wanted to connect my 2017 MacBook Pro to this via the usb c cable they provided but how do I connect the keyboard and mouse (sorry if this is a dumb question) . Do I need a cheap usb data hub and plug the usb transmitter to my MacBook Pro via the dongle or should I purchase a bluetooth keyboard and connect it to my MacBook Pro dongle . Will both of these options make the keyboard and mouse functional on the external monitor ? thanks

The mouse and keyboard work with the computer, the monitor does not use them. You can either plug them into the MacBook using dongles or you can buy a usb c hub and connect the monitor/mouse/keyboard etc to the hub and then have a one cable docking solution for your computer.

Its a nice monitor and you can either go with a cheaper USB C hub or an expensive thunderbolt 3 hub. The USB C will be fine for the usage described above but you may get bandwidth issues with too many hard drives and other peripherals plugged into it. A thunderbolt dock will give you a fantastic docking solution but cost an arm and a leg.

USB C hub something like this

Thunderbolt 3 dock something like these
