Ok, so I have never owned a Mac computer in my life. I am considering the 2018 MacBook Pro 13”. It is small, thin, and fast enough.

Apples site list the 2018 13” MacBook Pro as a 512GB i5 2.3Ghz 8GB DDR4 base model, and a higher end option available with a i7 and more storage and ram.

But, I’m seeing on eBay MacBook Pro 13” 2018 model with smaller storage capacities, 128GB, 256GB. Is there more than one 2018 MacBook Pro 13

Look at the models of the 13" MBP on the apple website. There are models with dual cores - two ports and quad core models with Touch Bar - 4 ports. Prices vary accordingly. IMHO I'd consider the source and assume that nothing on Ebay is properly labeled. JMHO. I purchased the 13" Touch Bar 18 MBP (base model) and love it. Best of Luck!!

Thanks, yes I’m only interested in the 13” 512gb i5 base model with 8gb ddr4.

Do not worry about storage (disk size) it is almost limitless expandable with external drives.

13" i5 is a great machine, I'm inclined to say the best out of 2018 lineup

I don't appear to see the same lineup you do. Take a look here: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro

Four models, two without Touch Bar, two with Touch Bar. Storage options 128GB, 256GB, 256GB (Touch Bar) and 512GB (Touch Bar).

Note that the models without Touch Bar have not been updated this year and are essentially 2017 models. eBay ads should state this as well, but some might use 2018 to indicate when it was purchased. Anyway, hope this solves the confusion if it wasn't already solved before.

Would you not be better waiting if you can, Apple will probably be updating the Macbook Pro around July this year.

Here’s what I’m seeing, minimum is 512GB so anything less than that on eBay was confusing.

It seems like life is always like this.

I see it now. I’m almost considering the Mac book Air fully optioned instead. Very nice laptop.

What will you be using it for? Air is not a bad option compared to Pro, unless you really need the extra performance.

Honestly, I’m only going to be using it for file management, and things like that. I mostly use my iPad Pro for editing videos and things like that. So it’ll be used for anything my iPad Pro 11” cannot do that makes using a trackpad easier.

I’ve got a overkill high end desktop PC, and I just don’t use it as much anymore.

The New MacBook Air looks impressive though. Very light weight.

There’s quite a price gap, so I’d save my money in that case.
