hence the reason why I said it depends on the person. a jammed gun does not render me "defenseless" .

Yes, I agree. Its the same as drug free zones. Ok, kids in HS won't smoke pot behind the school anymore. I'm just still confused, sorry, you posted that your LTC has no restrictions other than the ones that apply everywhere else so if a school is a gun free zone doesn't that mean you can't carry there?

That's actually what I just said, and no gun doesn't render anyone else defenseless.

no it does not mean I can't carry there unless I am asked to leave. its a "gray"
area that few want to touch.

and kids are now smoking IN CLASS with little recourse from administrators because at least in my area, the continuation schools are FULL  2 stupid POS oxygen thieves have done it in my daughters class a few times.

Well that's another thread. I have no tolerance for smokers. It might be the onset of "cranky old man syndrome" but I have zero respect for these people. I'm done with my cig now, I'll just throw it on the ground because its not garbage at all!

The feeling is mutual. As you're aware, it doesn't matter what you say that is going to change my mind and nothing is going to change yours.

We can still try to exchange ideas. While there's nothing wrong with humor now and then, I'd appreciate if you could try to seriously discuss a concept like self defense.

    Is it worth the effort?

No, it's not worth the effort anymore. It's been tried on here too many times, success rate remains at zero.

Well there's your problem ... you're trying to change minds.

I'm just trying to share ideas.

That's worth the effort ... even when debating someone like you.

There is no problem here, the problem is on your side.

EXACTLY, glad we are winning against many of the stupid restrictions put in place that do nothing. takes times & tons of money to fight them.

Just a reminder ... some of the things you consider "stupid restrictions", "burdens", or "hassles" include not being able to maliciously shoot a firearm into an inhabited house or car .... or not being able to shoot a firearm in a grossly negligent manner.

If you think those are stupid restrictions, then you have just redefined the meaning of stupid.

typical of you, hence the reason I don't engage in dialogue with you. you have no clue what "restrictions" I am talking about, but you are more than happy to make them up & get personal about it.

its ok, I don't expect you will get banned so I do simply tend to avoid you and your insults.

I'm sorry ... but in another gun thread currently being discussed, you specifically mentioned being "burdened" and "hassled" by regulations. You were asked (not by me) to cite some of the regulations that you found so onerous. You listed and linked to about a half dozen laws ... two of which I just mentioned in my post.

So I do have a clue about the restrictions you are talking about. You just complained about them and gave us the opportunity to view them for ourselves in that other thread.

    Here is the post ...

    restrictions
    10 rd mags
    10 day waits
no gen 4 glocks or plenty of other off roster guns.
    open carry gone.
    bullet buttons
    1 new gun per month.

you tend to get personal about plenty of things and get away with it.
