So, and I don't know how, my iPhone has kept the lock screen orientation switch on the mute switch even after GM for iOS 8 removed the functionality. I've always enjoyed the functionality so I kept it. Now with the new Control Center, the missing feature causes the UI to be all messed up. To be honest, I'm really surprised that Apple's code hasn't overwritten my feature. See below:
