Convert iPad Air to a light eReader

Hi all,

I have an iPad Air (A1566) from 2015 and would like to use it to as a eReader (mostly for pdfs), with minimal Apps. It is very slow now, and not able to install Apple Books as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have the same model and it works fine with Books. I use it almost every day.

Slow down is usually due to shortage of memory, so check Prefs/General/iPad Storage, and delete/manage usage if there's not much free.

Otherwise, I'd try a factory reset. If you're just using it for Books, then that won't take long.
