And how do you think the victim feels knowing this a**wipe is still walking around? I'd be scared out of my mind right now.

Definitely an injustice there. He should be behind bars.

I don't know. I'm sure there will be more details later. I hope not.

Looks to me like people in the bar were going out of their way to ignore the whole altercation as it was going down.

I'm curious how he only got probation for this beatdown. If I had done it I'd be in jail right now.

Hopefully there will be a civil suit forthcoming at some point in the future.

It was known in the bar that he was a cop. The others were scared to do anything. That was reported initially after the incident.

    Per the article...

    And from this one:

This woman should file a civil suit... if nothing else, she should make this costly enough for the City that it forces them to find ways to police their police better.

This is the most disgusting part of the article:

So because he was drunk it's not so bad?

I didn't get this, but was he in uniform and "on duty" at the time, or was he there in civvies and on his own time?

I can definitely see the abuse of power thing if he appears to be a cop when he does this, otherwise he's just a thug assaulting a bartender.
