Resolved Core2duo to intel question

I have a 2010 mbp running high sierra and a 2012 imac with no HD. I want to format an HD by using CCC to clone the MBP and use it in the iMac internally. I understand the settings will have to readjust to being booted in the iMac, but will a drive cloned on a core2duo work properly in an intel mac? im aware of all the other ways i can set up an HD, i have reasons for this.

As a side question, will a drive setup on an intel mac run in a core2duo Provided the comouter is capable of running the OS I’m using? (Both can run high sierra).

Yes absolutely. The Core 2 processor is an Intel chip using the same instruction set as the Intel chip in the 2012 iMac.
