Anyone remember when the servers for sidekicks went down and everyone lost their stuff? Is there any way that could happen with iPhones?? There's way more iPhone than there ever were of sidekicks.

That's because the sidekicks didn't store any of that data locally. The iPhone has all that data stored local, it doesn't matter if the iCloud servers go down.

hahaha i still remember that, my brother was about to get sidekick and when the rep told him everything was stored on a Microsoft server, he asked the rep what would happen if the server crashed, and the rep said "The server will never crash, its being hosted and secure by Microsoft".

Lo and behold, the Microsoft server crashes and everyone with sidekicks lose all their contacts.

After that, my brother was so pissed, he left t-mobile and went to AT&T and got an iPhone 3gs.
