Could there be two different sized iPhones?

you must have an extremely small purse for something 5" to not fit, gf's Kindle fire fits perfect in her purse and it's packed and i would guess on the smaller side of average. iPad sure as hell won't fit, but the Fire does.

I don't consider something that carries a Kindle fire a small purse.... seriously. My purse is not big (and no, I don't want to carry a sack around thankyouverymuch. Never understood females who like having this big huge heavy sack hanging from their shoulder). But it fits my wallet, my iphone, my checkbook, a large battery designed to charge up my iphone, the cord for the battery charger, and some other various stuff fine (hand sanitzier, bottle of aspirin, my inhaler, a thing of Neosporin, buncha coupons). So it's not one of those tiny little ones either. I'd say it's about the size of a very filled football.

And no, I don't want a phone that requires me carry something bigger than that around. And really, any phone I get really should fit in my pocket fine too (just for those times I don't even want to bring my purse). It amazes me guys that want these bigger phones since they don't even get to carry a large sack around with them (or at least it's considered weird for a guy to do). Hell, it was hard to convince my dad to get an iphone cause he didn't even want that in his pocket.

Are we talking a wristlet then? Because I seriously haven't seen most women carrying around purses that wouldn't fit a kindle fire. It's fine that your opinion differs from the majority, but I think most would say a standard "small" purse will fit said kindle fire just fine.

I've used a galaxy note, i'm telling you dude that the difference is like going from a featured phone to an iphone. Its only BIG in the begining, then its just normal and after that its 'how can i go back to the other small devices'.

Also, just an FYI, Galaxy Note has the longest battery to date. Longest talktime, surf time and everything....by a good margin 1

That + iOS might be a good mix.

Still 5'' is just way too big for a phone....

and even if Apple did increase the size they would never do it from 3.5'' to 5''.

One possibility though is for them to release a Galaxy Note/Kindle Fire size like 5-7 inch.

But for the iPhone it won't go farther than 4''.

Maybe they could call it the iPhone XL or something.

I'm not saying it wouldn't work, but really...this is Apple, chances of them doing this is slim to none. They don't believe in bigger the better, if a 5'' screen kills battery life they'll never do it. Also everything would need to be resized...its one of the problems Android has, there's like 10 different screen sizes so devs get really frustrated.

Are you kidding me?! A kindle is not going to fit in many medium size purses (Ok, maybe if you stretch them and have nothign else in the purse but I gotta have my inhaler and my wallet at least). I'm sorry, you'd have to have the sack style to fit that. And I'm not interested in a huge sack for a purse.

I gave you what my purse fit and around what size to equate it to. And that is nowhere near those little wallets on a string purse size.

Besides, why would you want a phone you need a bag to carry around? I mean the iPhone is still a pocketable size even. And even if you do have a sack leaves enough room in the sack to carry other stuff.

That said, 5" doesn;t have to be a whole lot bigger than an iPhone (physically). There are already phones out there reaching that and they are much smaller than said kindle.

I don't understand how people say anything above 4" is too big.

Do you remember when you first saw an iphone? ... most people were like That is big! too big!

Now many people are saying that it's a bit too small 4.3 and even 4.7 is not too big. Not too big to stick in your jeans, to put up to your face, to use in your hands. It just takes getting use to.

How do you know what will fit in everyone's jeans or hands? Or, for that matter, what's comfortable to them?

For me, I like being able to hold and text my phone with one hand.. and if it was any bigger than 4-4.3", I wouldn't be able to. Not to mention, with anything bigger exercising with it could become awkward.

Not at all, don't take things so literally. I mean why would anyone want apple to produce just one phone in one size? , especially when there are people wanting a different version but they opt to chose 'no...just no' as if they don't want anyone else to have a different sized phone lol

True thats a good point you made. That is why I stated 3 different sizes, like laptops for example, some want 11.6 other 13.3 others 15.4 and then theres the 17"

Good points except the 5" will optperform any device going. THe talk time on a galaxy note if 14hours. Which could be an incentive to produce something bigger
