I just want to let you guys know that Apple has not droped the original crt iMac altogather. The Apple store for education still has them on the front page for $749us.


So one might say that they are, sorta gone, but not realy. (for now)
 
they're still gone for consumers, unless theyre still able to get one from a small computer store that sells macs
its a good idea tho, since the emac is going to be an excellent deal as soon as they upgrade the line, and the g3 imac line should mainly be a 'made for schools/businesses' type of computer now, since it contains a cd-rom drive and very affordable

Acually apple stated this in the press release I believe. Normal consumers will no longer be able to buy it but educational departments will.
