I am a converted Mac user and I am addicted to the CTRL + ENTER shortcut that adds the www and .com to the web address you type in on IE or Firefox on a PC. Neither of those programs do this on Mac and I didn't know if there was another key sequence you can type to do it on the Mac. Anyone?

You don't need to type "cntrl + enter" in safari, it does it automatically. Just type the term into the address bar, and "www" and ".com" are added after you hit enter.

Happy browsing

[edit: Same holds true for Firefox, although it does not type in those terms. Seems to work with other top level domains as well, such as .edu]
