I've smoked my share of Cubans and I still think Dominican cigars are better.

That said, we should have normalized Cuba trade decades ago.

    +1 for everyone. ;)
as other mentioned above, it is ridiculous this has not occurred a long time ago, but better late than never.

i can't see how this could be seen as a negative, but i am sure someone will manage.

maybe i'll get to visit cuba one day :)

The President is Re-establishing diplomatic relations with Cuba. The Congress will have to lift the embargo.

I hope they do, but it doesn't seem likely.

Despite the howls of outrage from the Radical Right, the establishment GOP wants trade with Cuba. They'll get their way.

If the Republicans walk their walk, it will happen. Lifting the embargo puts Cuba on its way to an American style economy, you know the kind that Republicans tell us leads to freedom.

Immigration reform, now this. Obama sure isn't looking like the stereotypical lame duck.

Might have something to do with why his approval rating is ticking back up. 45% last I heard.

Our Cuban policy doesn't make sense.

Trade and travel are long overdue.

And you know that's an easy bump for our exports. Economically this could be good news.

Big Business will see this is a grand opportunity for trade and a new market in Cuba. The Republicans will cave in to the Big Business Lobby….. hence the embargo will be lifted formally by Congress (with some resistance delaying it perhaps).

This is one of those rare times when Businesses and Capitalists will side with POTUS Obama (despite the opposition of Republicans).

I once rode in a 4-door, 1956 Chevrolet that ran on gasoline and home heating oil. The car smoked worse than a diesel truck. It was a taxi.

I don't see how the Republican big business shills in congress could pass up the opportunity to bring in a new trade partner in close proximity to the US that they could make tons of money off of.

The boss finally wised up and listened to his and his kids idols, a very impressive move. Dennis Rodman, Jay Z, Queen Bey and the Hip-Hop / Rap community all know how "cool" Cuba is. The party begins now.
