I installed Tiger and then checked Activity Monitor for system resource usage. I was a little shocked to see that with just the system and Activity monitor running I only had about 154 Mbs of RAM left free out of 1 Gig. It was more shocking to see that the dashboard widgets were using about 20 - 30 mb each in the background. I closed out most of them and regained about 70 mbs. I don't know if I'll keep any open unless I have a specific need for it (like package tracker if I'm expecting something).
I think I'll be looking at a RAM investment soon.

I also want to see what happens in Doom 3 when I push f12 to bring up dashboard, but I'll have to wait until I get home tonight.
