I have accidently trashed my collection of .nds (Nintendo DS image) files  Can anyone suggest a program which will recover them? Demos of Filesalvage and StellarPhoenix don't seem to be suitable, as they only seem to work with a list of recognised file types... and .nds and .sav aren't included. The files are on an external volume which hasn't been used since the trashing incident and so the files *should* be intact. TIA guys and gals.

Well, I would sure give the Data Recovery II program free demo a try as it does not care what 'type' of files are there.

The demo will allow you to scan the entire drive and will present you with a list of files that it finds that COULD be recovered using the paid version of it- and it will let you actually recover a few files to demonstrate the recovery process.

It has saved my bacon more than once in spite of being a dyed in the wool backup fan!
