Amazon has introduced a new discount on the 16-inch MacBook Pro, discounting both base configurations of the notebook to notable low prices. Specifically, these new discounts are the lowest prices that we've ever tracked for the 16-inch MacBook Pro among the major Apple resellers online.

You can get the 512GB 16-inch MacBook Pro for $2,149.00 ($250 off) or the 1TB 16-inch MacBook Pro for $2,499.00 ($300 off). Due to the discounts, some models are seeing delayed shipping estimates on Amazon. As of writing, the 512GB model won't ship until February 5, but there appears to be more stock for the 1TB model in Silver.

Nice deal but I am guessing 32GB RAM required to future proof your Mac. That config doesn’t have any discount.

Amazon.co.uk has the equivalent discount (presumably other Amazon's worldwide, too)
Still a couple left as I write this.
I'm tempted, but only just got a new 15" in the summer - and so far the keyboard has held out...
I would also prefer to get 32GB/1TB.

What future do you expect? Some people need more, but I don't. I was thinking the same as you, but changed my mind. My 2013 had 16gb, so I thought I should have more, because 6yrs later.

But watching the activity monitor, I can't begin to max out 16gb with everything running. I tried to prove to myself that I need 32gb, but I failed.

That being said, this $250 off is the deal I got in December....from Adorama, not Amazon. It is kind of the normal price??
The "lowest ever" was $305 off. I mean shop around a little peoples...

Waiting on OWC Larry to tell me the new keyboard is as good as the 2015 MBP

Not much difference between the two. At least between the 2013 keyboard and this one. I mean, I don't know Larry, and he might be smarter than me, but....

Keys feel a bit more solid, and a tad less travel. I can switch between old and new and hardly notice.

The actual click of the old track pad is nicer than the pretend click on the new machine, but I guess we can't have everything.
