A true hero to the GLBT community has passed. She truly was a remarkable woman.
That SUCKS. But at least they got to tie the knot before she died.

And you know what? It didn't harm my marriage one bit!
Not to bring politics into such a sad moment, but hell, it is the Politics forum!
Your last statement here should give a lot of the proponents of gay marriage in California a lot of leverage come November. If a couple like this can live and die, and their marriage didn't harm or hurt anyone else's marriage, there is no room for gay marriage opponents to talk, let alone a soapbox for them to stand on.
Truly a wonderful woman to whom the gay community owes a great deal to. Hopefully her labors will not have been in vain.
I actually think it's going to go in our favor.
It's hard to see any positives when great people go, but I'm very happy she got to marry her parter.
