Since iOS 11, after tapping the X on an app I want to delete, there’s a full 3-5 second delay before the app is actually deleted. It hangs, grayed out, then disappears. It used to be instant.

Yup, experience this on my mini 2 up to 11.0.3. Haven’t tried deleting on 11.1 though.

I've come across this a couple of times, while the rest of the times the deletion worked as usual.

Same here even on an iPhone 8 on 11.2 beta 1. That just lets me know that the iOS isn’t anywhere near optimized 100% yet. You guys make sure you’re reporting this over and over to Apple

Exactly the same thing is happening to me as well.
