deleted a very important word doc on my macbook

how can i recover it? hwat program will find it in a good state?

Data Rescue 2 is the best.

The less you use the hard drive it is on, the greater your chance of recovering the file intact.

Let this be a lesson learned, you need a backup system of some sort. If you are using Leopard, use TM - external drives are cheap.
