    Foster takes seat from GOP

Fluke, or sign of things to come?

    I'm going with the latter:

    House GOP funk worsens

Ooo that's gotta hurt. After pouring nearly 1/3 of their cash-on-hand into the race no less, and the NRCC comes up empty.

Oh and Foster opposes telecom amnesty. And he won, despite being painted as wanting to help the trial laywers pocketbooks in this deeply red district by his opponent.

The problem for them is- Jim Oberweis is a nutjob. If the GOP keeps putting people like that up as a candidate, of course they're going to lose. He's run for office a few times, and has lost every single race. Some people never learn.

Yeah well, the republic bench is pretty thin this year.

Hm, kinda thought there'd be more in here telling us how this doesn't mean anything.

You shouldn't be surprised at all. Jim Oberweis is despised by a lot of Republicans in this state. He's a vile human being- even Republicans get that. He lost in an overwhelmingly Republican area.
