    Told ya so:

    Dems: 'We're panicked'

With start of the Democratic National Convention just three days away, Democratic groups are expressing dismay that Hillary Clinton is neck and neck with Donald Trump in the polls.

"Were PANICKED, friends," said an email shot from the Democratic Governors Association.

The group and other Clinton supporters are concerned about the polls and the new analysis by numbers guru Nate Silver showing Clinton's lead down to three points.

The RealClearPolitics average is even worse. Today's analysis has Clinton's lead at 2.8 points.

"This is not good," said the DGA fundraising email.

    Their note:

    We're PANICKED, Friends:

Nate Silver just confirmed that Donald Trump could be our next president – and polls show him within single digits in key swing states (Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida). Meanwhile, 92,038 people still haven't activated their DGA memberships to help increase Democratic turnout across the country.

This is NOT good. If we lose these swing states, Donald Trump becomes president and Republicans will defund Planned Parenthood, slash Social Security and deport millions of families. We can only win if we know NOW that top Dems like you are committed to fighting.

If Hillary wants to save the nation from Trump, she'll withdraw from the race.

Hopefully they submit their speeches thru http://www.copyscape.com. Otherwise, there will clearly have to be some resignations for very serious offenses.

They're not making up the poll numbers. Trump's spent about six bucks and change on his election while Hillary's shelled out umpteen megabucks--and her numbers are falling!

    It's a fundraising letter.

When the Republicans hand them nationally televised lemons by the truckload, there's lemonade to be made.

    Really?:

"Were PANICKED, friends," said an email shot from the Democratic Governors Association.

Sounds like somebody needs a hearing aid.

In March, Clinton was nearly 12 points ahead. Four months later she's only a point or so ahead and the campaigns haven't gotten underway.

    Just a fundraising letter?

This is where the republicans are better off having one front runner like Trump ahead of all the other losers the entire time. Final voter support for Hillary may be much more uncertain because of how many support Bernie over her.

Interesting how the republicans had the mess of a million candidates at the beginning but democrats having only 2 now could hurt them even more.

@DUCKofD3ATH So apparently you want a fundraising letter that runs more like this:

"Dear friends, we are doing so great in the polls that I just want to ask you, while we're still 12 points up, to be sure and donate more bucks in case we're 14 points up next weekend and you lose interest. Most sincerely yours, dumbAndDumber fundraising chairperson".

Hillary had one opponent, and a relatively mild one at that. She isn't ready for the ********* that Trump will visit upon her in the first debate.

You must be kidding. She's been taking flak from pros for decades already. The only way she doesn't shred him in the debates is if the moderators aren't up to their task.

Yes, because Trump has shown he is a man of substance during debates. Like when it talked about the size of his penis. Or when he said how great he was for the 50th time.

If they had that kind of lead, they'd be harping on getting the Senate and House back.

No time for that, however, because they're panicked about Hillary!

Trump will go nuclear right out of the gate with Monica and Bubba the Rapist hanging with pedophile Jeff Epstein. When Hillary recovers from the shellshock, her voice will be so shrill and piercing that television screens will crack.

    Trump will flatten her.

Like Hillary has substance. All she talks about is her lack of a penis, and that she wants America to trust her.

He won the Republican primary. Now he has to not only keep those voters, but also convince enough moderates to vote for him.

It's weird how this season looks like the candidates themselves will be the attack dogs and the VP candidates will vie for which one can act more policy-centered and reasonable.

This afternoon I ran into a friend, a conservative Republican, who said he thought Trump's children had turned out to be nice people, but that that was almost surely just a credit to their mothers.

I said well... hmm, okay, possibly, but since they are not running for President, how about their dad?

My friend said he was trying to remember that in theory, a Republican president would choose conservative types for the Supreme Court. I said "in theory?" and he said "Yes. I don't believe Trump is a Republican, much less conservative. I may vote for Clinton." I was quite surprised. But if the GOP holds their Senate majority, then HRC will not be able to shepherd liberal judges onto the court, so in a way I can understand his thinking.

Anyway on topic, who knows if the DNC is actually panicked going into the Democrats' convention, and I rather doubt it, but in my opinion the Republicans should not be too confident as they emerge from theirs.

Interesting anecdote I guess but nothing new. I don't see why a conservative republican would vote for Hillary tho. You can't really pick one parent as the reason for why kids turned out good. Unless you just blindly hate that parent sooooo much.
