I think this should worry Trump far more than the Democrats. There are still several investigations we are unaware of, could this be one of them?

Mueller already looked at Trumps financial records for his report. But knock yourself out.

Were they part of the report and were these specific documents part of the scope? If we don't know for certain then this point is just conjecture.

Also, this is the SDNY we're talking about here, they aren't playing any political games.

Well, I consider the whole Trump Collusion Delusion being political.

The article you quoted says NY State AG. That isn't the SDNY. SDNY is a federal district court, with a prosecutor's office that is under the DOJ, which is run by an US Attorney who is appointed by the President. The NY State AG is elected by the people of NY (state, not the city).

Props for the digging. We still don't know if it has anything to do with this specific situation or not though, one can only imagine the litany of records for various financial dealings over the years. Mueller was after anything to do with Russia, while me may or may not have found anything else incidentally is something we don't know.

We don't know if Mueller examined Trump's financial dealings at all, and if so to what extent, because it isn't in the Report, correct?

Could be in the supporting documents. But they have to be very careful as we all know how people like to leak information.

At a certain point when can one expect to finally leave this man alone. I fully expect Mueller to jump out behind the counter shouting "Gottcha!" as Trumps buys a bottle of Russian salad dressing.

He brought it on himself, we can't expect to just say "he's above the law so just leave him alone". He has to be held accountable just like anyone else.

Mueller's investigation is over but he handed it off to the DOJ and Congress to do with it as they see fit, it's by no means over. We all know that if he weren't currently sitting in the WH he would be sitting in a jail cell right now.

No, DOJ's already finished with it and Congress did that entirely on their own. If anybody should be in jail right now it's Hilary, that possibility still exists. After the botched Hilary investigation, Barrs taking a second look.

And Congress has not only a right, but an obligation to provide oversight and investigate. BTW this was exactly what happened with Nixon as well, it was handed off to Congress.

Trump is NOT above the law and as long as he continues to stonewall, lie and cheat, he'll keep getting investigated. Strap in, it's all legal and not going anywhere anytime soon.

I thoroughly enjoyed using their own sources against them.

And the law is not above the law, another reason why Barrs looking back at the Hilary email case.

Barr is going back to Hillary because Trump told him to and for no other reason. It's a great talking point but he's going to be far too busy testifying and covering Trump's ass to even get started on that.
