Running Mac OSX on a G4.

I am experiencing this bug in my DHCP client. I am obtaining DHCP lease
settings of about 20 seconds. After 10 seconds of lease time, my Mac client
should ask for a lease extention at the DHCP server. But for some reason the
client lease time expires after 20 seconds, without obtaining a lease
extention.

Does anyone have similar problems? What is the reason for this issue? How
can it be resolved?

ISP or LAN

>Are you talking about getting an IP from your ISP? Or on a LAN?

It's a test setup for a new WISP. They are using a Wireless Access Point connected to a server that does the DHCP thing. They gave us a demo and the Portable PCs (2000 and XP) both worked fine. My G4 Powerbook with Mac OS X didn't connect.
