Now I prefer it to my 2015 MBP keyboard. I hated it at first, but now that I am used to it, I absolutely love it.

I still can't get used to it, so I mostly use my Magic Keyboard with it.

It's interesting how different the keyboards can vary on the same model. The 15" I ended up keeping was the best out of the ones I bought, but I still don't like it. I listed it on eBay but the best outcome would be a $1,000+ loss, so I'll change the name of it to The Albatross and live with it for a while.

I no longer hate it but I don't love it as much as any of the following in order of favourite to type on:

Wired Extended Keyboard (2008)
Magic Keyboard (2010)
MacBook Pro 15" 2014 keyboard

I've been very surprised by my ability to adapt to the new keys in a matter of a month. This is coming from a guy who had a 5 year old 15in MBP with uber gushy keys. I thought I'd never come around to the feel and size of the keys but I have...

lovin my nTB so far

I was sceptical about it at first, but I got used to it very quickly.

MacBook is a little too soft... MacBook Pro is still too loud. Make the keyboard as responsive as the MacBook Pro with the Audio Level of the Macbook. Then it would be pretty perfect.

I never disliked them. They were weird but I got used to them. I am not stoked that I am having the keyboard issue but to be objective the keyboard is nice. If it's true that the 'fix' is the 2017 keyboard and it is just a tad softer at the bottom it would be a much better.

FWIW, I am setting up the 2015 I received (insurance policy on not being happy with repaired 2016) and it seems WAY musher than I remember. Not a bad keyboard. Just when. You are on the Butterfly and then go back it is crazy soft.

Done right, the Butterfly is a great keyboard IMO.

I hated it initially, and I still hate it 9 months later. I've compared it to my 2011 MBA, and my WPM is way down, and my typo rate is way up. Also, I've had keys break on me repeatedly. I'm typing this on my iPad, because my $2,200 machine is having its keyboard replaced *again*.

So, in short, it's a hard to type on, noisy, unreliable POS.

I definitely like it, other than the inconsistencies (mainly in the 2016 models), and while I really like the sound, it can annoy others. But they are working on improving the keyboard even further, so we'll how to see how that feels/sounds like.

Seeing so many people with repairs.. and multiple. I have to make a decision in the next week between my repaired 2016 13" MBP TB and the 2015 13" MPB refurb I just received. I have to say this refurb is flawless and seeing 6804 mAh at 104% of Original Max is so nice...
I can't be the only one not sure I want to roll the dice over and over on the 2016 keyboard.

I actually loved the keyboard at first, but I'm now missing the 2015 keyboard ,mechanism. The butterfly keyboard is too shallow for my liking. The old keyboard had more spring and felt more comfortable on my fingers.

I dont hate the butterfly keyboard but I'm not crazy about it either.

I never hated it, but was skeptical. After a few hours use I got on with it and now like it.

Nope. Hate it. Hard and clackety. Gave the computer to my wife and went back to my 2015 MBP. Oh blessed relief.

For perspective... I am one of the people who had to have their keyboard replaced and I ordered a 2015 in case I sell the 2016. I have to admit I like the new keyboard better.

I was reluctant at first, with the new Butterfly keyboard, to the point that I purchased one of the last 2015 13" MacBook Pro in Amazon. I tried this keyboard in its first iterations, and I definitely didn't like it.

Then, once I had my 2015, I decided, before my trial period ended, to give a try to the new 2017 13" nTB MacBook Pro, provided that it apparently featured a revised version of the same keyboard. And it's been 4 days with it, and honestly, now I asked the refund of the 2015 MBP, and keeping the 2017 13" nTB MacBook Pro. WHY? Because I'm loving it.

Yes, you read right, all this months I've been hating this keyboard (and it has a lot of issues, I won't deny that), but eventually when you become used to its larger keys, and its peculiar feeling, you can actually love it, way much than the old chiclet keyboard. There is one more key -pun intended- element: the keyboard on my 2015 MBP was somewhat noisy and excessively fluffy, it felt like the keys were going to fall from the keyboard, too loose. So maybe because I had a bad old keyboard, and now I have a good new keyboard, I've made the decision of going all the way for the 2017 nTB MacBook Pro..

Oh, and by the way, I still hate the Touch Bar, and I'm afraid that's not gonna change anytime soon :D
